What does a photo session in my home studio really look like?
It is about you getting your hair and makeup done, sitting back, relaxing, and letting us do the work. I work with a talented hair and makeup artist, Courtney Mathias, who does an amazing job. Not only is she talented, but she is one of the nicest gals you will ever meet.
And when you are in front of the camera, it is MY job to direct you the entire time. It is not up to you to be “photogenic,” how to stand, or how to smile. It is my job to give you instructions the entire time and to create the most beautiful pictures you have ever seen of yourself.
On this particular day, my friend and fellow photographer Margaret Henry came over to be part of the shoot and capture behind the scenes for us. She shot both stills and video of the day to help me show you what a session with Jenn Martin Spangenberg Photography looks like! (Thank you, Margaret!!)
My beautiful client, Brooke, wanted to share this experience with her daughter. And since I want our children to enjoy being photographed, I always try to incorporate something fun for little ones – for this shoot, it included sweets and jumping on the bed. What child doesn’t love to jump on the bed? I love the joy in her expression as she and her momma are jumping!!
Now Brooke has gorgeous photos of herself and her daughter – not to mention the fact that they enjoyed this momma daughter experience together and have sweet pictures to always remember this day.
